The Fat Bar barbell is a thicker than normal barbell and the benefit of using a fat bar is that you are challenged with your grip whilst performing all of the standard barbell exercises. We sourced our fat bar locally from a custom gym equipment designer as we wanted a lighter than standard barbell so that we could incorporate it more easily into the rehab plans for our clients. This bar is actually 7kg instead of the standard 20kg.
Check out the short videos below introducing the bar as well as some exercises with the fat bar barbell.
