Frontal Plane Hip and Trunk Mobiliser – An Osteopaths Perspective

In the video below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a wall supported (hand on wall) frontal plane (side ways step over) hip and trunk mobiliser.  This mobility drill was prescribed to stretch out the lateral hip (ITB/TFL, Glutes) and trunk (QL etc etc).  One can perform this mobility drill for time or sets and reps.  Increasing the step distance can exaggerate the stretch and one must aim to try and keep their pelvis parallel to the wall.
