26 May Ground based warm up exercises for the back and shoulder girdle
In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams demonstrating the following 2 exercises:
Prone banded scap work
1. Band resisted overhead press
2. Band resisted horizontal extension (end range)
These two exercises are great for training all the muscles around the back and shoulder girdle and can be used as part of ones warm up for upper body training or as accessory exercises to your primary upper body push and pull exercises.
When performing these exercises, start with no load or a light load (band or very light dumbbell) for 3-4 sets of high reps (8+)
