Kettlebell L Sit

In the image below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating a Kettlebell L Sit at Apollo Gym in Footscray.  The L Sit is a great exercise to perform as it requires a great deal of torso and lower limb strength.  There are many versions of L sits that can be performed (typically either hanging or pushing).  In this exercise, Heath is required to stabilise his torso through his upper limbs.  This requires him to lock out his elbows and stabilise through the shoulder girdle.  He is also required to counterbalance the load difference (between legs and torso).  The L Sit is commonly seen in calisthenics/body weight training and can be a nice exercise to add into your training program or focus on for bodyweight strength development.
