Knee Pain

Knee Pain

Knee pain is one of the most common lower limb complaints that sees clients presenting to see an osteopath at Principle Four Osteopathy.  We see a range of both acute and chronic knee pain complaints at the clinic and often the acute knee pain complaint occurs following trauma or due to a spike in loading or use.  The chronic knee complaint usually develops more slowly overtime and individuals have probably not heeded warning signs that their body has provided them with whilst undertaking the activity that is contributing to its onset.

Typically when you present to see an osteopath at our Melbourne City CBD osteopathy clinic we will take a detailed case history, undertake an assessment to determine if a referral or imaging is required (in the case of suspected fracture or ligament damage i.e. internal knee structure issue such as an acl, pcl, mcl or lcl strain or injury to the meniscus).  For those many individuals who dont require imaging or referral, we will often then provide treatment and map out a management plan.
