Ladder Barrel Single Leg Hip Bridge – Pilates Strength and Conditioning

In the image below you will see Pilates educator and trainer Jodie Sheehy demonstrating a ladder barrel single leg hip bridge.  This is a great exercise as it requires the individual to maintain balance and stability on the ladder barrel whilst performing the single leg hip bridge.  The ladder barrel also allows the individual to perform the single leg hip bridge through a greater range of motion compared to the traditional floor hip bridge.  An individual may also try and replicate this on the ground by using a swiss ball or bench.  This is a great exercise for loading up ones gluteals and hamstrings whilst also requiring them to maintain a stable trunk position.
