Lateral Hip Single Leg Strengthening Exercise

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy performing a single leg hip hike exercise where he is standing on a slightly elevated platform and then dropping the pelvis and leg down towards the ground and then lifting the hip again.  The aim being to keep the pelvis parallel in the frontal plane and then move the pelvis up in the frontal plane to load the lateral gluteal muscles of the grounded leg.  This is a great exercise for those wishing to start with some bodyweight lateral hip strengthening i.e. glute med etc.
