Shoulder Prehabiltation

Prehabilitation is the process of optimizing physical functionality preoperatively to enable the individual to maintain a normal level of function during and after surgery (Reference Link).  In the images and videos below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients demonstrating some of their prehab shoulder girdle exercises.  Our focus has been to address the following whilst looking to prevent any further extension of the original injury:

  • Range of motion/Flexibility
  • Mobility
  • Strength and endurance
  • Motor control
  • Stability

Our focus on the shoulder girdle itself is to address the shoulder girdle itself (with a local and more global approach) as well as the upper limb (elbow to hand/wrist) and spine.
