Single Leg RDL Kettlebell Row

In the video above you will see osteopath Heath Williams demonstrate a single leg RDL (romanian deadlift) with kettelbell row.  This exercise challenges one single leg and torso stability whilst requiring a horizontal pulling movement.  You will certainly feel as though your posterior chain (hamstring and glute) as well as core and upper body (back) muscles trained following this exercise.  Some common modifications for this exercise include:

Position – should you struggle with a single leg rdl, increase balance and support by placing the raised hip toes on the ground to add stability.  Aim to keep ones hips and torso square and parallel to the floor.

Load – reduce the load if you are struggling with correct technique and form.

Increase the complexity of this movement by moving into an RDL and then row and then reset the movement (as per video below)
