Single Leg Step Up Exercise – Training Around Your Clients Injuries

It is important that we are able to adapt both our treatment and training around our clients injuries so that we can continue to help them work towards their goals and improve on mobility, stability and control.  In the image below my client at Principle Four Osteopathy is unable to bend the elbow >100 degrees approximately.  One of the goals is to develop single leg strength and stability and the step is a great way to do this (as we step up/down most days).  It is a challenge to hold dumbbells by the side of the body (we could have an ipsilateral loaded dumbbell hold) as well as holding a barbell across the back.  So you will see a couple of variations that we will work with and see which works best.
