Trap Bar Bent Over Row – An Osteopaths Perspective

In the image below you will see exercise physiologist Yujin Lim of Optimal Health Exercise Physiology demonstrating a trap bar bent over row.  This is a variation on the bent over row and the design of the trap is such that it allows for a neutral grip position and one must balance the load whilst maintaining trunk stability.  One could look to alter this to a more isolated and supported position by performing a lying chest supported row with the trap bar or other accessory bars or look to progress this to a kettlebell (single arm or double arm) bent over row.
